The book Chasing Lincoln's Killer by James L Swanson is a true story about president Abraham Lincoln's assassination. This book also talks about the chase after Lincoln's killer John Wilkes Booth. It also talks about the chase for John Wilkes Booth's accomplices. This book talks about how president Lincoln attends the play and gets assassinated. John Wilkes Booth didn't just plan to kill the president though, he also planned to kill the Vice President and secretary. He chose a man named George Azerodt to kill the Vice President. He also chose two men named Lewis Powell and David Herold to kill the secretary. Booth decided to kill Lincoln himself. That is the basic summary of this story.

This book is very interesting and educational. It is a true story about the assassination of president Abraham Lincoln. This book is great for people who know a bit about Lincoln's assassination. It goes more in depth and even has evidence. There are documents and pictures of the assassin and Lincoln. I honestly love this book, it is so interesting how John Wilkes Booth managed to assassinate the president. I think the most interesting part of the story is when president Lincoln attends the play and doesn't even know his assassin is the main character in the play. During the play John Wilkes Booth kills president Lincoln and the audience doesn't even notice. The audience doesn't even know Lincoln is dead, because they think it is all part of the play. I would recommend this book to a friend because it is a great book. It's not a boring book with a bunch of facts it is a interesting and educational book that makes you want to keep reading.
