Cress, by Marissa Meyer

The main chapter is Cress Darnel. She is a computer genius and has been living alone inside a satellite for many years. She is in love with Carswell Thorne. The book starts off in the Rampion. The new plans a rescue mission to get Cress. They get intercepted and Scarlet gets taken hostage by Sybil. Cress and Thorne crash land on Earth. Thorne becomes blind and they have to help each other navigate out of the desert. The crew plans to break into the the palace to kidnap Prince Kai. They succeed but end up losing the Lunar guard, Jacin.

I would not say there an exact theme, but if I had to choose one it would be the power of teamwork. There is a team of six unique characters from different backgrounds. They combined their strengths to do things nobody thought were possible. I love reading about space, mutant things, robots, spaceships, aliens and this book has all of that. I would recommend Cress, by Marissa Meyer, to anyone who is into science fiction.
