Reached, by Ally Condie

Reached is the final book in the unbelievable Matched trilogy by Ally Condie. Cassia and Ky's search for the Rising resulted in their separation yet again. The Rising sends Cassia back to Central to work undercover as a sorter while Ky is a pilot in the Outer Provinces. Xander works as a medic, but still has a secret. The Society has also been keeping secrets, more than usual. The waters are being poisoned, there are odd, circular white walls around several city buildings, and people are disappearing. Little do the citizens know there is a life threatening plague outbreak, which the Rising has a cure too. Will the plague be the fall of the society?

In my opinion, the first book of the series was the best. The second one was acceptable, and this one was just, meh. It seemed forced, things didn't naturally work. I personally liked this one the least and find it a horrible way to end the series. I was looking forward to a great ending but it didn't feel complete. The one thing I did enjoy is how the story is told in three point of views: Ky, Cassia, and Xander. I liked how we got to know Xander better in this book. Overall, I am disappointed in this book, but would recommend it to anyone who has read and enjoyed the first book in the series.

Reached is the last book of the wonderful trilogy, Matched by Ally Condie. Cassia, Ky, Xander, and Indie are a part of the rebellion against the society. Cassia doesn't know that Xander is a part of the rebellion until later on in the story. In this book a new character is introduced, Lei, who works with Xander. Lei is the only one who Xander talks to most of the time and both can relate to one another. On the other hand, Cassia doesn't have Ky, Xander, Indie, or any of her family member with her in Central. Cassia and Ky are separated once again but this time its because of the Rising. They communicate with each other by writing letters to each other. Cassia becomes a part of the Archivists and creates something called a gallery. Cassia and Ky both miss each other. Ky flies with Indie to different provinces to drop off the cure. The members are affected by the Plague so members of the Rising who know how to fly a ship, drop off cures at the medical centers. The Rising cures the sick people but there's a twist to their plan. What is the twist? Do Ky and Cassia get back together? Does Xander get to meet Cassia? Is Cassia's family okay? Does Cassia figure out what the "Red Garden Days" is and get back to her family?

The final book is the best book. There are twists and turns. The readers wouldn't expect a few things. Ally Condie sure knows how to keep her readers engaged in reading. There are places that the readers didn't know exist. There's tons of adventure and mystery. Ally Condie shows the true meaning of love because Cassia and Ky are separated but they are still together. The pilot is a mystery to solve. Ky changed Cassia's life. I would recommend this book to a few of my friends who love books that have romance and futuristic novels. Ally Condie has action, a mood of sadness, romance and friendship.
