A Christmas Carol, by Charles Dickens

In A Christmas Carol, by Charles Dickens, Scrooge is a greedy businessman who feels no kindness towards others. However, on Christmas Eve, he is transformed when the ghost of Christmas Past, Christmas Present, and Christmas Future visit him at night. Christmas Past makes him regret his actions and what could have been, Christmas Present makes him realize how he actually is and how others are happier even if they are not as rich as he, and Christmas Future shows him his lonely and forgotten self that he will become if he does not change his ways. After the three ghosts visit him, Scrooge wakes up and it is Christmas Day. He has changed his ways and is kind, joyful, and loving. He celebrates Christmas with his nephews family and all ends well.

This is really a good novel. It is a classic, and if you do not have time to read it, then at least watch the movie. The the story of a person becoming an absolutely new man overnight, was not only interesting, but also very fun to read. It is a good book to read and fit for all ages. I recommend it to anyone looking for something to read.

A Christmas Carol is about a grumpy old man named Ebenezer Srcooge that takes everything for granted when on Christmas Eve he is taken to the past, present, and future to realize the damage he has caused. The first ghost that visits him is his old partner, Jacob Marley, and he tells Scrooge about three ghosts that will visit him later that evening. Scrooge then passes out to awaken to the Ghost of Christmas past, a childlike figure. The ghost takes
Scrooge to his past Christmases and after what he saw, Scrooge was moved, and he began to cry. The Ghost of Christmas Present then visits Scrooge and takes Scrooge to Bob Cratchit, his clerk's home. Scrooge sees Cratchit's crippled son, and then Scrooge appeared at his nephew's party. Then the ghost eventually vanishes and Scrooge sees a dark figure in front of him, the Ghost of Chritmas yet to come. The ghost takes Scrooge to find out about a unknown man's death, and Scrooge suddenly was in a graveyard.

I enjoyed this story because it has many vaulable morals to it. Scrooge shows a man of great depression and anger and he was shown the pain he had caused others. When he saw this, he changed and realized that what he had done was wrong. This story was very inspirational and shows that everything comes with a consequnce and to pay attention to one's actions because it will come back to haunt one in the end.

The classic story "A Christmas Carol" by Charles Dickens was first published on December 19, 1843. However, this book is still very famous and read by a lot of people. The main character is a mean, cold, and selfish man named Ebenezer Scrooge. The one thing that he hates the most is the holiday that is celebrated by many people over the world, Christmas. One night when he is sleeping, he gets visited by three spirits. The spirits that visit him are Christmas past, Christmas present, and Christmas future. After the three spirits visit Ebenezer Scrooge, his life changes forever.

In my opinion, "A Christmas Carol" by Charles Dickens is and amazing book. I really enjoy how after Ebenezer Scrooge was visited by the three spirits of Christmas(Christmas past, Christmas present, and Christmas future), he totally changed. Mr. Ebenezer Scrooge was no longer mean and rude after he woke up from being visited. Ebenezer Scrooge became very nice and caring. Therefore, I love the general message that was sent from this classic that can be read enjoyed by everyone.
