This book starts off the Heroes of Olympus series, which caught my interest. It starts off as Jason wakes up in a bus not knowing how he got there or who he is. He is sitting next to a girl, whose name he finds out is Piper, who claims they are a couple. To make things worse, a boy who is sitting on the bus as well, whose name is Leo, claims that he is Jason's best friend! Jason realizes that they are taking a trip to the Grand Canyon, and that this is a summer camp. Though things turn upside-down when they are attacked at the canyon and are taken to camp half-blood and told they are demigods. Now they must go on a journey to save the queen of the gods, Hera.In my opinion, The Lost Hero by Rick Riordan, starts off very well by introducing the characters and getting to the plot in a fast and simple style. Jason not only has to remember who he is and where he is but also has to go on a journey with two people who he barely knows and save the queen of the gods. This book caught my attention because I have a great interest in roman and Greek mythology, and that I had already read the Percy Jackson series. It starts the Heroes of Olympus series very nicely with the bonding of the characters and quest to find out who Jason really is, which keeps you wondering the whole story.

A few months after the big Titan War, everything was fine. Every one was at peace. then one day, their beloved war hero, Percy Jackson, goes missing. Annabeth freaks out with the entire camp, but income three new campers. Leo, Piper, and Jason. Jason has no idea who he is or where he is, but Piper and Leo seem to know all about him. The three of them get sorted into their cabins and on their first night they are given a quest to save the goddess queen Hera. Join Piper,Leo, and Jason as they fly across America on the back of a metal dragon named "Happy" in search for Piper's dad, Jason's memory, and maybe a girlfriend for Leo!
People will often say spin offs are stupid and nobody wants them. then i say read this book. it is just as exciting and just as perfect as the other Percy Jackson books. The Last Olympian ended with us knowing the next prophecy, and now we know that it is not years from now but it is happening now. i needed answers and this book gave it to me. i have found my new favorite character (Leo) and i love the new villain. i liked hearing the multiple POV's, its great to hear different perspectives of people you've never heard of. this is a great adventure. i always hear people say "that book is for kids" then i have four words for them.Children's.Books.Are.Forever!!!!!!!

The Heros of Olympus is a squeal series to the Percy Jackson & the Olympians. It starts off with a new main character, Jason Grace, on a school bus next to Piper McLean, claiming to be his girlfriend, and Leo Valdez, claiming to be his best friend. However, he has no memory of neither his "friends" or about his past. The school bus is headed the Grand Canyon as part of a field trip. When they arrive, their classmate, Dylan turns into a Roman Venti (storm spirit) and their coach, Gleeson Hedge, a satyr, fights him. Even more surprising, a coin in his pocket turns into a Roman sword. Dylan tries to attack the trio but Jason uses to try to save them. Just after the fight, a chariot appears in the sky with Annabeth, Percy Jackson's girlfriend. She expects to find Percy but instead she finds three demigods, a venti, and a satyr. She takes the confused trio to Camp Half Blood to explain the recent events and to help them find out who they really are.
I enjoyed reading Percy Jackson & the Olympians, so I was looking forward to reading this series. Rick Riordan did not disappoint. The novel was full of action and comedy with a side of romance. The point of view shifts from Piper, Leo, and Jason, adding to the dramatic irony and giving us an inside view of the character’s feeling and emotions. The first series was about the Greek side of mythology and the gods, but this time we get to see both the Roman and Greek perspectives. I love reading Rick Riordan’s mythology novels because he skillfully ties mythology into something that we can relate to. For those that have read the first series, you will not be disappointed; we meet some familiar faces as well as some new ones. I would recommend the book to everyone because it is a great way to pass time.

The Lost Hero is about three demigods, Leo, Piper, and Jason, who goes on an adventure in an attempt to save from the ancient evil goddess, Gaea. Leo has a power to control fire, as being the son of Greek god of fire, Hephaestus, Piper can charm speak, the privilege she gets as being the daughter of beauty, Aphrodite, and Jason can control the winds and the lightning, as being the son of Jupiter, the (roman) god of the god. Jason lost his memories and was switched with a greek demigod named Percy by the goddess Hera in attempt to try to make Greeks and Romans relationships better. Leo, Piper and Jason go on hardships together and becomes a great team with coach Hedge.
I always liked fictional story about Greek myth. This book gave me a chance to consider other myths like roman, which is surprisingly similar to greek mythology. The novel actually gave me a new idea of greek mythology, which I want to keep it to myself because it's my thoughts, and it gave me a new way to think about how mythology can continue into another mythology. I would want to recommend it to my best friend, since she likes being the ice queen and all, and that she likes greek mythology like me.

The book "The Lost Hero" of the "The Heroes of Olympus" series by Rick Riordan is about how Jason and his two friends save the world.The book starts off with Jason the main character waking up in the back of a school buss not knowing where he is or why he is holding hands with someone he does not know. As it turns out later on, Jason has a friend and a girlfriend. Both of them he does not know, The book gets confusing after that but the story is cleared up towards the climax.
I enjoyed reading "The Lost Hero" by Rick Riordan. The characters were well presented and the story was well told. I think that anyone can enjoy this book especially if there is nothing better to do with their time. There are some funny parts so it is in no way depressing. It kinda helps learn bits and pieces of Greek mythology for people who have never studied it in any way. I'd recommend it as a cure to boredom to just about anyone.

Jason can't remember who he is, where he's from, or who the people calling themselves Leo Valdez and Piper McLean are. However, together they arrive at Camp Half Blood, where everyone is frantically searching for a boy named Percy Jackson. Leo and Piper are claimed by their godly parents, and the trio set out to rescue Hera from her earthen captors. Along the way, Jason rediscovers more about himself, which could lead to the reveal of a long kept secret.
As I said, it would not be long before I returned! I was a bit skeptical about The Lost Hero at first because I had become accustomed to reading from the perspective of Percy Jackson. However, the book did not disappoint, and was full of action and humor. In previous reviews, I had repeatedly mentioned how I enjoyed Greek mythology being incorporated in the modern world. In this series, it is a blend of Greek and Roman mythology, two things I am a huge fan of. Also, this book picks up where The Last Olympian left off, which means there are a lot of parallels. It was fun reading about a character or event being mentioned from the previous series, and knowing their story. Needless to say, I look forward to reading the rest of the series.
