Eragon, by Christopher Paolini

Eragon is just a poor farmboy when a mysterious blue rock appears at his foot while hunting. He soon learns it is a dragon egg and he is a Dragon Rider, one of the old legends he's heard about as a child. He and his dragon Saphira must stop the evil King Galbatorix and his dragon Shruikan and save Alageasia.

This book, by Christopher Paolini,  was enchanting and very hard to put down. I liked the world in which the author put his story, where Dragon Riders ruled and magic was at the hands of everyone. I think young boys will like this book very much. It made me feel like i was actually in the world of Eragon.

Eragon is the first book in the Inheritance Cycle. The story begins with a 15 year old farmer named Eragon. When he goes hunting, he finds a polished blue stone in a mysterious place called "the spine." Soon after he finds the stone, a baby dragon that he names Saphira hatches from the egg "or the stone." Eragon decides to raise the dragon. When the ra'zac kill Eragon's uncle Garrow, he has to escape his hometown Therinsford with Brom (the story teller from carvahall), Saphira, and the memories of his dead uncle.

To be honest with you, I didn't think I would like this book, but I actually LOVED it. I'd say this book is the most exciting book about dragons. This book is very exciting and you will never get bored while reading it. I hope you read this book because it will take you on a world of adventure. :)

Eragon is about a boy who finds a dragon egg in the forest and becomes a legendary dragon rider. The egg is born and a dragon comes out. Its name is Saphira. The kingdom he lives in is constantly being attacked by creatures known as "urgals" and is controlled by a corrupt king, Galbatorix. The boy, Eragon, meets another dragon rider whose dragon has been slain. The man, Brom, leads Eragon to a an army known as the Vardan, who protect Eragon until he's skilled enough to fend for himself. Eragon is now revealed to the unknown fate ahead of him.

I loved this book. I recommend it to all mature young adults. Christopher Paolini describes the situation realistically and makes the horror scenes seem real. The readers must remind themselves every now and then that it's just a story and not real life. The story has some amazing plot twists and more and more information being revealed about the past as you read each book in the sequel. I really liked reading this story and I would recommend this to any teenage reader who wants to read this on his or her spare time.

This book is one with a very interesting plot. Therefore, the main character’s name is Eragon and he lives in the mountains with his older brother and uncle. To make by he goes hunting into a forest only he is not afraid. Suddenly a huge flash of light and a wave of heat overcome him and him thrown to the ground. He finds a shiny blue stone that ends up being a dragon egg and he hatches it and lets it go. then he has to go on a journey because the evil king wants to find all the dragons so he could never be defeated and keep his rein. He has to work together with his allies to try to combat this evil king. Read the book to find out what happens!

This book was one of my, or should I say my favorite book of all time. the writer is amazing with the way he presents his thoughts on the paper and it just stunned me! The instant I picked up the book I was hooked and knew there was just something special about this book. I can relate to when in movies a guy and a girl see each other for the first time and they fall in love, because seriously this book was love at first sight for me and is a must read! I think any person would enjoy this book young or old so do not be shy get your hands on a copy ASAP! I highly recommend you give this book a shot because you will not regret it!

Eragon, by Christopher Paolini is an amazing read about a farm boy turned dragon rider. Eragon takes place in Alagaesia, a magical kingdom in which there are Dragons, Urgals, and even Elves. Paolini describes a 15 year old boy who stumbles upon a dragon's egg and realizes he is much more than he seems. He travels the land, terrorized by the evil king Galbatorix, and fends off beasts with the help of his village storyteller, Brom. The story is richly told with many intriguing characters and is always making the reader wanting continue the book. If you enjoy magical creatures and intense storytelling then Eragon is for you.

I loved Eragon because it showed to growth of a 15 year old boy traveling the land fighting for good. I liked everything about the story and I would recommend it to absolutely everyone. There is nothing I didn't like about this story and I am certain that everyone will feel the way I do about this book. Even if you are not a fan of imaginary, magical books, you will after reading Eragon.

Eragon lives on a small farm in the kingdom of Algaesia, a magical land ruled by a tyrant king, Galbatorix. When a strange stone falls into his possession, he thinks that it'll be enough to pay for food for his poor family. But when it turns out to be a dragon egg that hatches for him, thus making him a legendary Dragon Rider, he realizes that he must make a choice - ally with the evil but immensely powerful Galbatorix, or somehow hope to defeat him and his terrible reign.

I really enjoyed this book. I actually read it as a kid, but it was still fun to read after like five years. Although the writing was a little rough at times, the story was pretty good and enthralling. The world of Algaesia was well thought out and the characters were also very interesting. The world building in general was very well done, and I really enjoyed reading about the different races, magic, and landmarks of Algaesia. I would recommend this to readers who enjoy fantasy novels.
