Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, by J.K. Rowling

The book, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is the second book of the Harry Potter series by J. K. Rowling. In this book, it is Harry's second year at Hogwarts. While at the Dursleys, he gets a surprise visit from a house elf named Dobby. Harry is told by Dobby that dangerous things are happening at Hogwarts and that he shouldn't go back. Harry, of course, ignores the warning and goes to school. While there, strange things do begin to occur. Harry starts hearing voices and students get attacked by an unknown creature. Harry, Ron, and Hermione take it upon themselves to find out what is going on.

In comparison to the other Harry Potter books in the series, I did not like this one too much. There were points where it was too long and stretched out, so it became boring for me. The climax came too late in the story, so it was very slow. But overall, when everything did start happening and things started to get going, I liked the book very much. Just like the Sorcerer's Stone, it had unimaginable twists in the plot, which is my favorite part of any book. Also, the descriptions again were very good. I would recommend this book to people who like action, but I wouldn't recommend the book to people who are impatient.

I was very impressed with this book! It was a lot of fun to read and I thought it was better than the first Harry Potter book by far! There was much more action, adventure, and definitely excitement. I was obsessed with this book until I finished. I could not stop reading, and I would really recommend reading this book if you have read Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone! It is worth it! You can't just stop after the first book, there is so much more to read about. I love the Harry Potter series very much, and I think this book is probably one of my favorites in the series.

Harry Potter And The Chamber of Secrets is the second book out of the seven book series written by J. K. Rowling. Harry again is stuck at the Dursley's house but can't wait until it is time for his second year at Hogwarts. But when it is about time for Harry to leave an elf like creature named Dobby comes to warn Harry to not go back to Hogwarts. Telling Harry if he does bad things will happen but Harry does not listen and still goes. When Harry returns students get turned into stone by an unknown creature who then later strikes someone close to Harry. It all comes up to Harry and his friends to find the creature that is causing all this chaos.

This book builds up suspense page by page , each attack gets better and better. Then theres a twist at the end when Rons sister is taken to the chamber and it is up to Harry, Hermione , and Ron to go find her. This book is very inserting and you dont want to stop until you find out who or what the creature is. I recommend this book to you , but remember start of with the first book then move on to this. Just like all the other Harry Potter books the authors diction is excellent and plot is just as great which makes you want to keep on reading.

In Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets by J.K. Rowling we find out the second part of the Harry Potter series. Harry and his friends are attending their second year at Hogwarts. Now with even more homework, Harry is in for an interesting year, for he hears strange sounds coming from the walls of the school. He continuously hears these sounds until at one point there starts to attacks happening around the school. Eventually Ron and Harry must travel into the Chamber of Secrets to find out what is making those sounds that Harry keeps hearing and who is responsible for the attacks going on in the school.

I really enjoyed this book because I think that J.K. Rowling has done a great job once again. The continuation of this series so far has been great and I can't wait to read the next book in the series. I like how Harry has to sacrifice so much and go through many challenges to get to what he desires. Just like the last book he has to try and find out what these mysterious occurrences are, but this time it is the strange voice coming from the walls. The reading really gets me into the story and I never want it to stop, so it a real page turner! I'd recommend this book to anyone, but you are going to have to read the first story in the series first though.

Harry Potter is about to start his second year at Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry. On a visit to the zoo with his aunt uncle and cousin, Harry finds out that he can talk to snakes. When he returns to Hogwarts, he meets his friends Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger. Everything is going along like normal, but then weird things start to happen at the castle. Some of the students are being attacked by a mysterious creature that is petrifying them. Harry also learns about a mysterious place called the chamber of secrets and has to find where it is and once again face Voldemort, the most feared wizard of the day.

I really liked harry potter and the chamber of secrets. It went into great detail on what the chamber of secrets was and why it was so important. I really enjoyed reading the book and liked the whole story and plot of it. I liked how the book described the chamber of secrets and what went on inside of it. i also enjoyed learning about some of the new characters, like Ginny Weasley, Ron Weasley little sister who is now starting her first year.Overall, i think the book was really good and would recommend it to anyone who is interested in reading fiction.

In the second book of the Harry Potter series, Harry is back in his aunts and uncle's house for the summer. Even though he is warned not to go back to Hogwarts because of danger, by a strange creature, he still decides to attend the school. And like the creature said strange things do occur. As students turn into stone, people start spreading rumors that the heir of Slytherin is causing all this trouble. But who is the heir? can it be Draco, or even Harry?

This book was my favorite out of all the others in the series. It was very interesting and unpredictable. You never know what will happen next. I love how there is a major twist at the end, that no one would definitely suspect. It was shocking, intense, and definitely mysterious. I really liked his book. People who are into mystery and thrillers should read this. If you like J. K. Rowling's other books, you will definitely get an amazing taste out of this!

Harry Potter is back at his second year of Hogwarts, despite being warned by a house elf named Dobby not to return, Harry goes against his wishes and joins his friends for another “fun” year at the magical place he calls home. As days go by at Hogwarts, Harry starts to notice strange things around the castle: he hears a voice that no one else can hear, which talks about tearing, ripping, and killing. Harry worries that he is starting to lose his mind. The mysterious voice Harry keeps hearing is getting more and more menacing, and soon vicious attacks start happening to the Muggle-born students of Hogwarts. Harry discovers that someone has opened the “Chamber of Secrets” and let out a monster. Events come to a head when Ron’s sister, Ginny, is kidnapped and taken down into the Chamber…

Harry Potter is one of the most epic series of all times. The Chamber of Secrets is one of my favorite books in the Harry Potter series because we get more action! The characters that are introduced throughout the story make you fall in love immediately with them. I think that this book would appeal mostly to anyone. It was an easy read, it had characters that you would love or hate, and it was very well written and could keep any reader entertained and paying attention. J.K Rowling portrays her characters that make the reader not get enough of it. I recommended this book to anyone that loves adventure, thriller, mystery, romance, and fantasy.

After the end of his first year at Hogwarts, Harry Potter was now back at the Dursley’s house, where he was forced to stay against his will during his summer holidays. There, he was confronted by Dobby, a house-elf, who warned Harry not to return to Hogwarts, telling him that many dangers await him. Nevertheless, Harry decided to return back to Hogwarts, escaping home with a flying car driven by Ron, Harry’s best friend. At first, everything seemed normal at school, with Hermione excelling in her school work while Harry and Ron fall behind. However, later on, weird and perplexing events started to occur, just as Dobby had warned. The fact that students were being attacked, strange voices were being heard, and mysterious messages were being written on the walls frightened everyone at school, putting Hogwarts at risk for closing forever. It is up to Harry and his friends to solve the mysteries and put an end to all the chaos.

I think that this is a great book that anyone would enjoy. It is definitely not a challenging book to read, so its purpose is more for enjoyment rather than for expanding knowledge, which is ideal for a summer reading book. I loved how the more evidence and knowledge Harry, Ron, and Hermione obtained, the more confused and oblivious the friends became. Overall, I would give this book a ten out of ten because of the artistic way that the author crafted the mysteries, which keeps the reader on the edge of their seats the whole time.

Harry Potter is going to his second year at Hogwarts. While in his room, he gets disrupted by Dobby, a house elf who has come to warn Harry not to go to Hogwarts. He says that terrible things are going to happen to him if he goes. Harry's best friend, Ron, and his brothers, George and Fred, have come to break Harry out of the house because his uncle, Vernon Dursley, is not letting him go. They get to Platform 9 3/4 but can't get through the magic wall. They have no choice but to take Mr. Weasley's flying car and fly to Hogwarts. They get there on time but get punished for not taking the train and crashing into the Whomping Willow.
During a death-day party for a ghost, Nearly Headless Nick, they run into a petrified Mrs. Norris, the caretaker's, Argus Filch, pet cat. People begin to suspect that the Chamber of Secrets, a secret chamber underneath the school that no one knows the location of, has reopened. The last time it was opened fifty years ago, the same things were occurring. The students suspect Harry off opening it due to his ability to speak Parseltongue, the ability to talk to snakes. Also, in the girls bathroom, they find the diary of Tom Riddle. The diary shows them that Hagrid opened the chamber fifty years ago. A few more students are attacked as well as Hermione and Dumbledore and Hagrid are sent away to Azkaban Prison. Harry and Ron, along with Professor Gilderoy Lockhart, who claims to know the location of the Chamber, go to find the Chamber of Secrets. They find it and enter to see the horrors that are inside.

A 8/10 book and personally my least favorite of the seven Harry Potter books. However, still a great story about Harry Potter still getting used to his new abilities as a wizard. Lockhart is a very annoying character but fits the story well and meets a deserving end. The setting of Hogwarts Castle is great and the Chamber of Secrets is very intriguing. A great follow up to the introduction.

Harry Potter is getting ready for his second year at Hogwarts, School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, after having the loneliest summer back with his controlling aunt and uncle otherwise known as the Dursleys. The Dursleys host a dinner party and make sure that Harry is locked up in his tiny room before the guests come. A small house elf named Dobby visits Harry Potter and tells him that he must not go back to Hogwarts, but Harry doesn't want to listen to him and finds out that he’s been keeping dozens of letters from his friends away from him. Dobby gets angry and does something to make sure Harry never goes to Hogwarts again. Dobby’s actions anger the aunt and uncle so they blame Harry and lock him in his room, making sure he won’t be able to go back to Hogwarts. Luckily, the Weasleys come to his rescue with a flying car and get him out before the uncle gets him. As the school year is beginning, Harry wonders what Dobby could have warned him about as new professors and experiences unleash.

I read this book growing up and it is one of those classic books that you can read again all the time without ever getting tired of it. Harry Potter books are known all over the world. What I like about this book is that J.K. Rowling wrote this book so perfectly that it makes it seem like you’re with Harry Potter, going through the new adventures and solving mysteries with Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley. I recommend this book to people of all ages who enjoy stories filled with lots of fantasy, magic and adventure.

The main character, Harry Potter, along with his two best friends, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger were wizards attending their second year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Prior to the beginning of the school year, Harry was cautioned about a probable danger at Hogwarts. As soon as summer had come to an end, they arrived at Hogwarts. Attacks began a question to spiral, who had been responsible for this horrific chaos? The Chamber of Secrets had been opened! With this, the attacks continued, and the school came terribly close to closing down. Students felt severely threatened, things had gotten out of hand. Meanwhile, Harry, Hermione, and Ron had faced several. obstacles as they remained optimistic to come across an answer.

Personally, I truly advise anyone who is looking to expand their imagination or merely read a good book for entertainment to give this book a shot. As a student, I can assume that several don't have the motivation to pick up a book and take time to put themselves in the story. With J.K. Rowling's impeccable book it is overt that Rowling's intention was to use imagery to capture the moment as if you were Harry Potter. The book will guide you to gain a unique perspective of fantasy and the magic of words themselves. Furthermore, my honest opinion is that Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is fascinating and has left me completely satisfied with my reading.
