It's Not Summer Without You, by Jenny Han

In It's Not Summer Without You, by Jenny Han, Belly was counting the days until summer when she would go back to Cousins Beach with her cousins Jeremiah and Conrad. But not this year. Not after her aunt, Susannah, got sick again and Conrad stopped caring. Everything had fallen apart, leaving Belly wishing that summer would never come. But when Jeremiah calls Belly, saying Conrad had disappeared, Belly knows exactly what she should do to make things better. So she Goes to the beach house and finds him there. Everything can be alright at the end with the three of them together, the way things used to be before Susannah died.

I really enjoyed this book. It has a great story plot about family, boys, and how so much can change so quickly, this book has what every girl wants in summer. It was very descriptive. I can inhale the ocean air and take long walks at the beach.

It's Not Summer Without You by Jenny Han, is the second book in the trilogy. Belly had finally had her dreams come true by having Conrad. The thing is she doesn't describe their relationship as a real relationship... "All we do is kiss." she says. This time the relationship between Conrad and Belly and Belly and Jeremiah is different since Susannah (Belly's moms best friend), died from breast cancer. This is also the first summer that Belly will spend at her house and not in Cousins. There are a lot of hardships that go on this summer: the grief for the death of a loved one, the relationship between Belly and the boys, her best friend pressuring her into relationships she doesn't want, and jealousy.

My opinion of this book is the same is the first book. This book though teaches you about facing and getting through the hardships that life and the people in it give you. This book I'd recommend to every teenage girl who likes books like this one! And I, myself, have gotten a few friends to read this book and they tell me the same exact thing that they did that I did as well... We couldn't put the book down!
