Mockingjay, by Suzanne Collins

Mockingjay, by Suzanne Collins, is the final book in the Hunger Games Trilogy. Katniss Everdeen, "the girl on fire," survivor of the grueling Hunger Games and the Quarter Quell, lost her home, reunited with Gale, had Peeta slip beyond her grasp, and discovered that District 13 exists all in the same day. The revolution is brewing against the Capital and the rebels need Katniss to be their Mockingjay. Katniss consents to this, and that is where the trouble begins. Peeta, captured by the Capital, suddenly appears on the screen, urging Katniss to hold back the rebellion. However, Katniss, the spark of an uncontrollable forest fire, is unable to do so. So instead, she sends a rescue team and brings back Peeta. But Peeta is already out of reach. He has been hijacked, his memory tampered with. Now, Peeta is convinced that Katniss murdered his family, District 2 shows motives of siding with the Capital, and the Capital still seems impenetrable. Will Katniss and the rebels sucessfully deal with these tasks? The finale of the series, Mockingjay wraps up the adventure of Katniss, Peeta, and Gale. The inevitable fight between the Capital and the Districts draws closer. Action-packed with humor, thrills, and suspense at every twist and turn, this book is for every teen on Earth. -Reviewed by JunHyung, grade 7.

What a journey my fellow readers and I have gone through while reading this trilogy. We've mourned the deaths of our favorite characters and delighted at the joyful happenings. In my opinion, this book was amazing, but the ending upset me. I felt like options were ignored and characters just hastily thrust around. Collins is also a great writer and she had an extraordinary idea! It was my first time reading about a dystopian society where the government was somewhat honest about their cruelty. The one thing I hated was the choice Katniss had to make between Gale and Peeta. My choice would've been both because they are both just so wonderful! But in the end I was shocked because she didn't get to choose. I recommend this book to every teen, tween, or preteen out there who enjoys to read.

Mockingjay is the third and final book of the three book series written by Suzanne Collins. After Katniss was recused my District 13 she decided she wants to become a mockingbird which means she will be a rebel against the Capitol. She wants to get the right to kill President Snow. After all the battle Peeta has been brainwashed to believe that Katniss is the enemy and tries to strangle her any chance he gets. After the battle against the district and Capitol one gains victory and makes the other suffer. After all this battle the Hunger Games will finally be over.

This story was just brilliant, I also loved the way how the story ends with no more Hunger Game battles. It was the last of the three story series, it had a good conclusion to it that I really liked. I also enjoyed the authors diction (style of writhing). This story showed me a brutally world which i wish to never visit. I would recommend this book to anyone that believes you should fight for what you believe in until you get it. This series was truly one of the best I have ever read, it made me really feel like I was at the Hunger Games.

This was an amazing ending for the Hunger Games series. Again if you have not read "Catching Fire" or "The Hunger Games". I would highly recommend this for teens and young adults.

Katniss has survived two Hunger Games now she is lucky to be alive. District twelve is gone now but Gale and her family are okay. Peeta has been captured by the Capitol. She even finds out District 13 is real and alive. That's where the Rebels are. Katniss was supposed to be taken out of the Quarter Quell. She has been apart of this revolution that is happening for a long while with out her even knowing. District 13 is planning to overthrow the Capitol. For this to work Katniss needs to behave if she doesn't this may not work. The future of Panem is in her hands.
In my opinion this installment of the series was not as good as the others. I found that this book seemed to drag on and me not looking as forward to getting to the next big part of the story. The earlier books were very fast pace and a lot of action where this one did have action, but not the type of action I was used to with the series and it was very slow pace. The story is still very well written and a good book, so don't give up on the series especially since you have invested so much time into it. I hope you enjoy.

Mockingjay is the third and final book in the Hunger Games series by Suzanne Collins. This is where everything ends and anything can begin. Katniss Everdeen is the official face of the rebellion against The Capitol. She agrees to unify the districts of Panem in a rebellion against the tyrannical Capitol. She symbolizes everything the rebels believe in, along with her sign of the mockingjay. The Capitol is angry. The Capitol wants revenge. The only person who will truly feel the wrath of The Capitol is Katniss. In this book you really see the corruption and truth behind The Capitol and the extreme lengths they will go to to be able to stay in charge.

I'm disappointed to say that I did not fall in love with this third book as I did with the two that came before it. Overall I feel like it had some really good ideas and plot lines, but it just didn't live up to the first two books. The only part of this book I loved was the epilogue. I knew that the final book of this series was never going to be sunshine and happiness, but I never thought that it would be so sad and discouraging. In most parts of the book, Katniss for the first time in all the reading irritated me, like I couldn't understand her. I would still recommend this book to all who read the series before because you have to finish the series, especially after you finish Catching Fire.

I chose to read,"Mockingjay", because all of the books in the series leading up to it were action-packed and I was eager to learn what happened to Katniss and Peeta. Katniss decides to be "the face" of the rebel army under conditions such as that captured victors from the Hunger Games will be protected but she's having a hard time because when they get Peeta back he tries to murder her and they found out the Capitol manipulated him into thinking that Katniss was the cause of the war and the Capitol was trying to help. While rebel doctors try curing him Katniss continues helping the rebels. The author always started and ended a chapter with something interesting. There was never a time when I was bored. My favorite quote was,"... if we burn, you burn with us," because it shows that she doesn't care about her own life; as long as her enemy parishes.

I thought the book was very good. It had all the elements of an action packed book that people love to read. It keeps the reader on their toes, never knowing what will happen next. I would recommend this book to someone who likes action, underdog, and background love kind of books because that basically sums up what genres this book's in.

This book is about the rebellion, the people finally rebel against the government, Katniss becomes the figurehead of the rebellion. The people look up to her for support and are inspired by her to continue to rebel. However Peeta has been captured by the government and being tortured, which hurts Katniss terribly but she cant help him. in the beginning she just films a videos to show the districts that she is alive and still fighting and sometimes she actually gets in battles but she never feels as if she is helping, she feels out of place and she really misses Peeta.

I hated this book if I could unread it I would. too many people die and i just hate the person she chooses to be with. I hate how a lot of things turn out. i don't understand why certain people had to die and I don't understand why certain people didn't die. I hate how traumatized Kaatniss and Peeta end up and I wish there was a happy ending. I guess some people could call the end a happy ending but I wish they could have a true happy ending. after reading this I spent days just depressed and sad because I hated this ending. I would not recommend this book.

After surviving the Hunger Games for a second time, katniss everdeen is taken to district thirteen, which was supposed to be uninhabitable. Katniss leads a rebellion against the capitol, the all powerful city in panem. She gathers a group of followers from district thirteen and starts to try to overthrow the capitol.

I really enjoyed reading Mocking Jay. It was very interesting and had a really good storyline. I would recommend this book to anyone who has read the other two books in the series.

In the Mockingjay, by Suzanne Collins Katniss gets saved in the arena by District 13 rebels. President Coin (leader of District 13 rebels) wants Katniss to become the "mockingjay," the symbol for the rebellion against the Capitol. To promote the rebellion Katniss is filmed in propaganda films showing her "fighting in battle." District 13 then decides to rescue Peeta from the Capitols clutches.

I think this book was a great way to end the hunger games trilogy because it had an amazing ending to it. I liked this book because it was so action-packed and had a new thing happen every page. i recommend this book to people who like action and a book with with an amazing story-line.

This time Katniss Everdeen is not in "that" much trouble, as Peeta Mellark, her lover who was captured after the Quarter Quell by President Snow. Now she must join District 13, the rebels, and again become the face of the rebellion. Katniss and the former Head Gamemaker team up to show the President what he is doing to the other districts. In other words, they are showing him he is losing his profit from each district. Snow doesn't care he just wants to control Katniss by hurting Peeta. although there are some consequences of becoming the Mockingjay, the rebels face of rebellion, she must give up her friends and family.

I think this book makes you want to grip your chairs until your knuckles turn white. It's amazing how Collins can make each book in the trilogy better than the one before. The hero seems to have this brewing rage against the Capitol and she will do anything in her power to bring it down. Katniss Everdeen seems to leave an impact on this world with her courage and determination. This book has a mystifying charisma that makes you want to read it.

"Mockingjay" is the third and last book to the "Hunger Games" series. After Katniss and Peeta were rescued from dome, there was a disaster. District twelve was bombed and now there's nothing left of it. Therefore, now all of the citizens have to find somewhere else to stay because their homes were destroyed. Apart from all this, there is now a so called District Thirteen, which used to exist before. In addition, the rebellion against the capitol still continues. In the end who will win? The answer is to read the book and find out.

I believe that everyone can have different opinions about "Mocking Jay." People can either say that they like the new concept or that they dislike it. Personally, I really enjoyed this book. In my opinion, I think that all three books in the "Hunger Games" series are great and amazing. However, that is only because I enjoy reading books with adventure, action, and suspense, which "Mocking Jay" definitely has. In addition, I like how this book is different than the first two books because now it focuses in the rebellion. This book is a must read.

"Mockingjay" is the third and last book of "The Hunger Games" series. This book, once again, follows the story of Katniss Everdeen, who has become a symbol for the districts' rebellion against the capitol. After the events of "Catching Fire", the previous installment in the franchise, District 12 has been destroyed and Katniss is living in District 13, a district thought to be destroyed, along with her sister Prim and friends including Gale Hawthorne and Finnick Odair. Meanwhile, the captured tributes from the third 'Quarter Quarrel', including Peeta Mannark, are being questioned and tortured in the Capitol. Katniss will have to overcome many obstacles, including the deaths of her loved ones, in order for this rebellion to succeed and for her to finally live a normal, happy life.

I thought that "Mockingjay" was a much better book than its predecessors. While the other two books focused on Katniss's strengths, this book focused on Katniss's weaknesses. This dynamic in Katniss's character development is an interesting and a welcome change. Furthermore, this book gets rid of the '24 competitors in a battle arena' formula from the first two books and replaces it with a story about rebellion. Along with these changes is the return to the wonderful world introduced in "The Hunger Games", and the detailed descriptions first shown by author Suzanne Collins in "Catching Fire". "Mockingjay" provides a much different story than the other two books, but it is a story that should not be missed.

Mockingjay is the third and final book of the Hunger Games series.Katniss is now the face and leader of the whole entire rebellion. Katniss isn't sure she should trust the people of District 13 and she doesn't know what is happening to Peeta since he was capture by the Capital. Katniss continues to struggle troughout the entire book, she has to decide between what's save for her family and for the entire country of Panem.

Mockingjay is my least favorite of this series. I liked how there was a lot of action but there wasn't enough romance. Other then that I thought it was a good book. Another thing I didn't like about the book is how my favorite people die in this book. I really don't recommend this book to anyone who loves to read romance but I do recommend this book to anyone who loves to read action.

A lot has happened to the one and only Katniss in the last two books of the Hunger Games whether it was from love to the handful of fights she had to face thanks to her society. Consider her as the last person standing since everyone succeeded (well most people) in fleeing away for safety such as her family and her friend Gale while on the other hand Peeta has gotten captured by the authority of their community, also known as The Capitol thanks to the love they cannot prove as "meant to be". Back then, there were twelve towns and now there is an extra one which mathematically means it makes thirteen right now. Katniss must be able to fight the rebels and the opponents she has in order to stay alive and help give extra protection to Peeta and her family. Will she succeed in this battle like she always had in the past?

This last sequel of the Hunger Games series was pretty cool. The ending felt a bit emotional I would say. Reading this kind of helped me connect to some sort of revelation in a story. If the author were to make a fourth or maybe a fifth sequel to this, I mean it would be nice to see the journey continue. I also heard there are movies relating to all three sequels so I suggest you guys should watch them but of course read the books first because everyone says the books are always better than the movies. And also reading the books first before the movies are always good because you can see the dramatic changes and differences on how the two would relate. In my opinion, I think anyone can read this book such as starting the age of 9 or even 10 because who doesn't love the Hunger Games? There's nothing really I don't like the book but it's fine because overall it was a good book to end off the series.

Katniss and her family are safe in District 13 from the clutches of President Snow. District 12, her home, has been bombed to rubble by the Capitol's air forces. However, the war seems to be in their favor - most of the Districts have risen against the Capitol. But, Snow has Peeta captive, and will use him against her to get what she wants. When the war reaches its climax and Katniss must once again become the Mockingjay, this time for the rebellion, she must try her hardest to survive Snow's plans for her.

I reallly enjoyed this novel. It was a great, satisfying end to the trilogy. The story was more expansive than before, taking place completely out of the Games. The writing was just as good as before, and the author was great at showing the characters' emotions and confusion. The characters were all very well-written, just like the previous two books. The book just flowed well. The action was also top notch, and I really enjoyed reading this novel. I would definitely recommend this book for others to read.

Katniss Everdeen, a young lady ablaze, has endured, despite the fact that her home has been obliterated. Gale has gotten away. Katniss' family is protected. Peeta has been caught by the Capitol. District 13 truly exists. There are rebels. There are new pioneers. An upheaval is unfurling. It is by plan that Katniss was saved from the field in the unfeeling and tormenting Quarter Quell, and it is by plan that she has for some time been important for the upheaval without knowing it.

I like the fact that it discusses a turn in events for the Hunger Games. They are going to do a Quarter Quell instead of a regular Hunger Games. I also like the fact that instead of just protecting Katniss to make sure Katniss feels comfortable her family is also protected so the author is actually being the character and seeing their needs as he was writing the book and they have added twists. I think people who like action, rebellion, turn of events, and mystery would enjoy this book. It made me feel like the government can be corrupted at times and it's always good to fight for the rightness even though they say what they are doing is right and you know it's not. So yes, I'm recommending this book to friends.

The books Mocking Jay which is the third volume on the hunger games series is an amazing book. At the start of the book, Katniss had been rescued from the Quarter Quell arena just for her to find out that she has now became the pawn in someone else’s match. At this point in the book, there has been 12 districts in Panem that have taken up arms against the cruel person president snow and the exploiting measures of the Capitol.

my opinion about the book Mocking bird which is the third volume in the whole series of the hunger games is pretty deepened and expanded. I really enjoyed reading this book because from it I learned a lot of things. Another thing that I really like about the book is that the title called Mockingjay of the book is a really clever one, and that the picture on the cover of the book really correlated to what the writing has to say. Not only was this book very interesting, It also had a ton of action in it and I really, really enjoyed reading this one. When I read this book, it is very different from other books because when I am reading other books, it isn’t very interesting and I can’t wait to finish, but when I reading the hunger games books, I really enjoy them and I just want to keep reading them until I am finished with the book because it is so interesting.
