Good Girl, Bad Blood by Holly Jackson
Pip isn’t a detective anymore. With Ravi’s help, she starts a podcast to tell the world the truth about the Andie Bell case. But on the six-year anniversary of Andie and Sal’s deaths, Jamie Reynolds goes missing. Unresolved mysteries and hidden clues begin to surface. Investigating his disappearance uncovers more dark secrets surrounding this small town, just like last time. But now, the whole world is listening. Will Pip find him in time?
Good Girl, Bad Blood by Holly Jackson is a really solid sequel, it keeps the mystery from the first book but raises the emotional stakes. This books does a great job showing how truth and obsession can become dangerous, for you and the people you love. Pip's character development is one of the best parts. You can really see how fame, trauma and obsession starts affecting her. The ending is extremely emotional. It makes you think about justice, morality, and how blurred those lines can get.

This book is really gripping and feels more intense than the first one. I liked how Pip’s character develops—she’s not just confident anymore, you can see how everything is starting to affect her mentally. The mystery is interesting and has a lot of twists that keep you guessing. Sometimes it feels a little stressful because of how serious things get, but that’s also what makes it so good.

Enjoyed the podcast format and how exciting it became, feeling hectic and tense in a positive way since something was always occurring within it. The way Pip continued to investigate after initially promising not to was thrilling for me, and the inclusion of the podcast aspect brought it closer to our reality and made it more interesting. The repetition with regards to the chase of clues sometimes occurred, but it was still exciting and thought-provoking in terms of pressure and responsibility.
