Around the World in Eighty Days, by Jules Verne

Around the World in 80 Days by Jules Verne is a classic adventure novel that tells the story of Phileas Fogg, a wealthy Englishman who makes a bet that he can travel around the world in just eighty days. Along with the help of his valet, Jean Passepartout, Fogg goes on an ambitious journey that takes them across many diverse countries, cstoms, cultures, and challenges that test their resilience and resourcefulness.

The book is thrilling and imaginative. Although it is told mainly from a Eurocentric point of view, the themes and moments of humor and action were still engaging and enjoyable to read through. I would recommend the book to anybody who is interested in travel or society in that time period.
