Murder is Announced, by Agatha Christie

A murder is announced, by Agatha Christie, in a form of a notice and specifically states the location at Little Paddocks. This surprises the Little Paddocks owner, Letitia Blacklock, who doesn't take it seriously and continues with her work. At exactly 6:30pm, Friday, October 29th, at Little Paddocks the lights go out and a man with torch orders "Get down!" The guests play along until they hear gunshots. The man with the torch was identified as Rudi Scherz, whose girlfriend states was paid to do the stunt. But with the result of Blacklock's bleeding ear and Scherz's sudden death, Inspector Dermot Eric Craddock must figure out the motive behind the mysterious murder.

The amount of layers in this book is amazing, I even found myself writing down notes and trying to find out my own connections. There are many more people involved than you think. This book is perfect for mystery lovers and those who don't mind taking extra steps into writing down information as they read. The buildup to the reveal was very satisfying, and everything closes up nicely, especially with the final epilogue at the end.
