The series Maximum Ride, by James Patterson is about six extraordinary kids saving the world from evil white coats and more. These books are for people who likes lots of adventure, drama, science fiction and face paced stories.

What is your first thought when you see a flying figure overhead? A bird? A plane? How about a mutant kid? That's exactly what Max and the "flock" are in Maximum Ride: The Angel Experiment, by James Patterson. At a horrible lab called the School, Max Gasman, Iggy, Fang, Nudge, and Angel have been experimented on, then injected with avian DNA. Now, they can fly around and be free, that is until the whitecoat scientists capture Angel.

To save their sibling, the flock travels back to the last place they want to be: the School. They all had painful memories of being tested, retested, and experimented on countless times. However, during the flight to the School, Max is shot and is in no condition to fly. The resucue seems futile. While Angel is in desperate need of aid, Max and the flock also need a healthy dose of help themselves.

The first book of the Maximum Ride series, The Angel Experiment is an eye-popping thrill ride to the life and horrors of the flock. It is a great book for fantasy and excitement lovers. But hold on tight - this book just might soar too high.
