Pachinko, by Min Jin Lee

Pachinko spans the stories of Four Generations, From the main character Sunja's parents to her grandchildren far in the future. In the beginning, a wealthy man falls for Sunja and gets her pregnant. However, Sunja leaves him after learning that he is married already. She instead ends up with a Sickly Minister and moves to Japan with her new husband and child. However, she will never escape the gaze of the wealthy man, who is the son of a powerful family, and the father of her child.

Despite the high amount of long time skips, this book Pachinko, by Min Jin Lee, had me very interested from the hook to the end, and i wished I could see more of it after the ending. Every character was interesting, and most remained relevant and not forgotten all the way up until the end of the book. Even though this book would be most helpful for those looking to learn about Korea's condition and the lifestyle of people during the conflict with Japan, it would be a great read for those looking for a fun book.
