Parachutes, by Kelly Yang
Parachutes by Kelly Yang is a book displaying the reality of being asian in America. Claire Wang is a beautiful and rich girl who's parents sent her from Asia to America to live in a hosts house. she experiences things (good and bad) that she would have never had to go through if she wasn't forced to have American education. Dani, who is Claire's host, wants to go to Yale, Her only issue is that she does not have as much money as the privileged kids which makes her journey even more difficult.
In my opinion, this is the only book i took time out of my day to read. I personally dislike reading very much, it is hard for me to fully focus on a book and finish it. This book is so entertaining and it is easy to read. This book had me completely wrapped into the story like so much that even when i took a break from getting tired of physically reading, i would start to wonder what is going to happened and force me to go back. If it is hard for you to find a good read. i'd suggest this book!!
