Misery by Stephen King
A famous author named Paul Sheldon has gotten into a serious accident, yet soon finds himself being nursed back into a healthy state by a girl named Annie, his biggest fan. Yet, while it seems like all she has is good intentions, Annie is much more insane than you'd guess. It isn't like Paul can save himself though, for he cannot function on his own. She is the only support he'll have access to until he gets better. It's as if he is her puppet. Paul cannot live like this. He must escape somehow.
I enjoyed Misery by Stephen King a LOT. And I mean a LOT. Yet, I do feel like this read is only fit for a certain group of people. First of all, this book is VERY gruesome. As someone who gets queasy pretty easily, I could honestly handle these chapters. I think the novel was just so good it kind of distracts you from those gross scenes. But, I still wouldn't recommend it to someone who doesn't think they could handle it. In all, this novel has a unique plot, and you should add it to your To Be Read list!
