Angel Fire, by Courtney Allison Moulton

In Angel Fire, by Courtney Allison Moulton the sequel to Angel Burn, Willow and Alex travel to Mexico City to stop a new wave of angels from feeding on human energy. These angels disguise themselves as celestial beings offering salvation, but they’re actually draining people’s life force. As more people fall under their influence, Willow struggles with her own identity as a half-angel. The tension builds when they meet Seb, another half-angel who shares a mysterious connection with Willow.

I’ll be honest, the love triangle felt a little typical at times, but it didn’t overpower the plot. What I enjoyed most was the bigger scope of the story—more danger, more strategy, and higher stakes. The world-building got better, and the moral questions about free will and belief made the story feel more grounded despite the supernatural theme. If you like paranormal stories with a mix of romance, action, and character growth, Angel Fire delivers. It made me want to keep reading the sequels.
